Chris Odd is the owner and founder of Odds On Home Inspection Services. He is an examiner for new inspectors in the province, licensed in Alberta, certified thermographer, bonded, insured and a member of InterNACHI (The International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) & CAHPI (Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors).
He has been involved in the construction industry for over 30 years. Home inspection is his passion, and he strives to push his inspectors to achieve the very highest standards in order to provide the best possible service for their clients. Chris heads up the professional team of Calgary home inspectors at Odds On Home Inspection Services.
Paul Merricks

Home Inspector, CMI Master Home Inspector
Paul Merricks is a licensed Alberta home inspector, Alberta Certified Master Inspector (CMI), certified in thermography, bonded, insured and a member of InterNACHI. Paul has over 35 years of experience in the building trade and has worked on some of the highest roofs and some of the lowest sewers in his time, so nothing seems to phase him.
Married with 4 grown-up children and 2 grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hiking, watching soccer, and spending time with his family.
Jon Routledge

Home Inspector, CMI Master Home Inspector
Jon Routledge is an Alberta-licensed commercial & residential home inspector who is certified in thermography, bonded, insured, and a member of InterNACHI. He has worked with home renovation and electrical contractors over the years before joining our team of Calgary home inspectors.
When Jon is not inspecting homes, he is involved in coaching his daughter’s sports, hockey and fast-pitch. Jon also loves camping with his family and hitting up any fishing holes that can be found.
Brent McGuire

Brent McGuire holds a license in Alberta and has inspected in Alberta for many years, he is now a full time home inspector in Ontario. He is certified in thermography, is bonded, is insured, and is a member of InterNACHI.
Brent McGuire is a dedicated professional with over two decades of experience as an electrician and five years as a home inspector. Married and a proud parent of three, Brent finds joy in exploring the great outdoors and embracing nature’s beauty. His commitment to family and passion for his work shine through in all he does.
John Hymanyk
Certified Home Inspector
John brings over 20 years of engineering experience in the hydrocarbon processing industry to his role as a home inspector. His background as a Chemical Engineer has equipped him with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring safety in every home he inspects.
Outside of his work, John enjoys hiking, mountain biking, and spending time with his family.
John is a Certified Home Inspector through InterNACHI and holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering.
Steve O'Connor
Certified Home Inspector
Steve Oconnor is an Alberta licensed home inspector who is certified in thermography, bonded, insured and a member of Caphi. Steve has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry, including a background working as an electrician as well as a roofer and floor installer.
When Steve is not inspecting homes, you can find him on the golf course or spending time with friends and family.
Mike Rand

Mike Rand, is an Alberta licensed residential home inspector who is certified in thermography, bonded, insured and a CPI member of InterNACHI. (24101816) Having been involved in the residential and industrial construction industry for over 25 years, working and creating with his hands is Mike’s passion. He is now on the other side of the proverbial “wall” inspecting every nook and cranny of others’ work to ensure you feel safe and secure with your home purchase.
Mike relocated back to Alberta 10 years ago from Ontario and is proud to be serving the local
area. His wife is a Special Ed teacher, and they have two boys who are in Jr. High. Ask Mike
what he loves most: a good cup of Tim Horton’s coffee, his two dachshunds, or a game of
Texas hold ’em. The answer would be a hard toss-up!
